What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday September 27, 2021, crews at Oakwood Station will perform wet utility testing works at the south-west corner of Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately three (3) days. Rolling lane closures will be required to facilitate this work. Traffic on Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West will be periodically reduced to one lane in each direction, while the testing takes place.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment, including trucks, can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday September 27, 2021, for approximately three (3) days, between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
- Wet utility works will continue to take place throughout Oakwood Station until approximately late-October 2021
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Traffic on Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West will be periodically reduced to one lane in each direction, while the testing takes place
- All turns at the intersection will be maintained
- Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.
- The lanes will reopen upon completion of the testing works each day
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- The eastbound bus stop located at the south-west corner of Oakwood Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West will be relocated further west on Eglinton Avenue, for the duration of this work
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
