What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Thursday August 12, 2021, crews will begin permanent wet utility connection works on Eglinton Avenue West, between Oakwood and Glenholme Avenues. This phase of work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately 15 days.
To facilitate this work safely, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Oakwood Avenue and Times Road. Access to properties and businesses will be maintained. For more information, please review the complete notice.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment, including hydro-vacuum trucks and excavators, can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. No utility interruptions are expected while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Thursday August 12, 2021 for approximately 15 days
- Work will take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wet utility works will continue to take place throughout Oakwood Station until approximately September 2021
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Oakwood Avenue and Times Road
- The lane will reopen after each day of work
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
- The north-south crosswalk on Eglinton Avenue, on the west side of the Oakwood Avenue intersection, will remain open

- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
