New Traffic Configuration: Eglinton Avenue East between Sloane Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
As part of utility relocations, road widening and road reconstruction along Eglinton Avenue East between Sloane Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue, new traffic staging (depicted below) will be implemented as early as January 15, 2019. This traffic configuration will be in place for up to four (4) weeks.
All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East. Read more »
Watermain Upgrade at Victoria Park and Eglinton Avenue East Intersection

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be upgrading the existing watermains at Victoria Park Ave crossing the Eglinton LRT guideway. This work requires digging a trench to access and upgrade the existing watermain as well as installing new control valves. Read more »

Update: Intersection Closure at Eglinton Square for Pavement Reconstruction
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will conduct the first of a series civil works involving pavement reconstruction works at intersections along Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Birchmount Road in support of construction of the future surface stops.
Work began in November 2018 and will continue with an intersection closure on Friday, November 23, 2018 for approximately one (1) day. Read more »

Guideway Work along Surface Section of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT: Victoria Park Avenue to Pharmacy Avenue
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting guideway work in the center of Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue starting as early as November 24, 2018 until early 2019. The work includes cutting and removal of existing asphalt, excavation, installation of subgrade materials, duct banks installation and track drainage, track slab and stops.

Extended: Rolling Sidewalk Closures for Civil Road Work from Victoria Park Avenue to Pharmacy Avenue
What Work is Taking Place?
In support of construction of the future At Grade stops, crews continue civil works in relation to road widening works on both the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue. Work began in mid-September 2018.

Extended: Telecommunication Relocation Work between Victoria Park Avenue and Birchmount Road
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will continue to relocate and upgrade existing overhead and underground telecommunication between Victoria Park Avenue and Birchmount Road, as part of construction of the future surface section for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
Telecom work commenced in February and has been extended until the end of the year (Fall/Winter 2018).
