What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the continued construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be relocating the watermain along Eglinton Avenue East at Saddle Ridge Drive. Relocation is required for road widening activities as well as construction of a new retaining wall along Eglinton Avenue East in front of the Saddle Ridge Drive cul-de-sac. Work will occur overnight and is expected to begin as early as 6:00p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 and continue for up to four (4) nights.
As part of the watermain relocation, a water outage will be required for one (1) overnight period on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., affected addresses are listed below.
Hours of Work
- Work will occur overnight beginning as early as Tuesday, August 6, 2019 and will continue for up to four (4) nights.
- Time: Between 6:00 p.m. — 6:00 a.m.
- Water outage at affected addresses will occur for one (1) overnight period on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- Note: Unexpected circumstances may also change the above interruption plans or prolong the interruption. If this occurs, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.
What to Expect
- Watermain relocation construction activities include saw cutting, asphalt removal, hydrovacing, excavation, compaction and asphalt placement.
- Crews will endeavor to complete disruptive activities in the early evening hours, to minimize impacts to nearby residents.
Overnight water shut off on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 will affect the following address: 52, 54, 58, 64, 65, 68, 70, 72, 74 Cranborne Avenue, 22 Bartley Avenue, 1837 Eglinton Avenue East and 1496 Victoria Park Avenue, during this time, no water will be available from taps or toilets
