Fence Construction at Oakwood Station’s Secondary Entrance  January 5, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday January 24, 2022, crews at Oakwood Station will begin constructing the permanent wood fence on the south side of the Secondary Entrance (refer to map). To construct the permanent wood fence, the existing metal fence will be removed and replaced with a temporary barrier.

Construction of the fence is expected to take place periodically from Monday – Saturday, between 6:00 a.m.  – 5:00 p.m., until approximately late February 2022. Noise from construction activity including concrete breaking and hammering can be expected while this work takes place. Access to private properties will be maintained at all times.

What to Expect

A 1.8 metre tall wood fence will be constructed on the south side of the Oakwood Station Secondary Entrance. The existing metal fence will be removed. Noise from construction activities can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday January 24, 2022 until approximately late February 2022
  • This work is expected to take place periodically from Monday – Saturday, between 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration and/or pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
