Update: Extension of the Times Road Closure at Eglinton Avenue West - October 31, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Times Road will remain closed at Eglinton Avenue West for approximately one (1) month, until October 31, 2020, to provide space for ongoing construction of the Oakwood Station Main Entrance site. The closure will be in place 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week.

Times Road will remain closed between Eglinton Avenue West and the laneway to the north. Times Road has been converted to a two-way street between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue for the duration of the closure. To allow for two-way traffic, parking on Times Road between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue will be prohibited during the closure. Access to the laneway will be maintained.

Pedestrian access to Eglinton Avenue West will be maintained from the west sidewalk on Times Road. There is no access to the east sidewalk on Times Road for the duration of the closure. The additional laydown areas on Lanark Avenue and Times Road will remain in place during the closure.

What to Expect

There is no access to Eglinton Avenue West from Times Road during the closure. Times Road will be used for equipment and material storage. Noise from construction activity and site lighting can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

• Times Road will remain closed at Eglinton Avenue West after September 30, 2020 for approximately one (1) month
• The closure will be in place 24-hours a day, seven days a week
• The closure may be in place longer or shorter than expected
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Times Road remains closed between Eglinton Avenue West and the laneway to the north
• Times Road has been converted to two-way traffic between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue
• Parking on Times Road between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue is prohibited during the closure
• Access to the laneway will be maintained
• The additional laydown areas on Lanark Avenue and Times Road will remain in place during the closure

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Pedestrian access to Eglinton Avenue West will be maintained from the west sidewalk on Times Road
• There is no access to the east sidewalk on Times Road for the duration of the closure
