Update: Extension of the Times Road Closure at Eglinton Avenue West - Early 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

Times Road will remain closed between Eglinton Avenue West and the laneway to the north for approximately three (3) months, as crews continue to construct Oakwood Station's Main Entrance. The laydown area on the east side of Times Road, between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue, will remain in place during these works.  The closure and laydown area will be in place 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week.

Two-way traffic on Times Road will be maintained. To allow for two-way traffic, parking on Times Road, between the laneway and Livingstone Avenue, will be prohibited during the closure. Pedestrian access to Eglinton Avenue West will be maintained from the west sidewalk on Times Road. There will be no access to the east sidewalk on Times Road for the duration of the closure.  Access to properties, businesses, and the laneway will be maintained at all times.

What to Expect

There will be no access to Eglinton Avenue West from Times Road during the closure. Times Road will be used for equipment and material storage. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present to facilitate the loading/unloading of materials to and from the laydown areas. Noise from construction activity can be expected while this work takes place.
