What Work is Taking Place?
On Friday October 16, 2020, Eglinton Avenue West will be closed between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue for approximately 20 hours as crews relocate the tower crane from the Secondary Entrance to the Main Entrance of Oakwood Station. To mitigate delays to the travelling public, the closure will be in implemented at 3:00 a.m. on Friday October 16 and remain in place through to 11 p.m.
During this work, no thru traffic will be permitted through Eglinton Avenue West between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue, however, property access will be maintained. Times Road will remain closed during the closure. Traffic control personnel and paid duty officers will be present, while this work takes place. Significant traffic, pedestrian, and TTC changes will be in effect. Please carefully review the full details below.
What to Expect
There will be a full closure of Eglinton Avenue West between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue for approximately 20 hours. Overnight noise from crane movements, loading, and truck activity can be expected. Property access will be maintained at all times. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and paid duty officers will be present during the closure, to assist vehicles and pedestrians navigating the area.

- The closure will take place between 3:00 a.m.- 11 p.m.
- The closure will be in place for approximately 20 hours
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eglinton Avenue West will be closed between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue
- Oakwood Avenue will remain open to southbound and eastbound traffic only
- Times Road will remain closed during the closure
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The north-south crosswalk on Eglinton Avenue West, west of Oakwood Avenue, will remain open
- The sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West, in front of the Secondary Entrance site, will be temporarily closed while the crane is being relocated
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- During the closure, the 32 and 332 Eglinton West bus routes will be diverted north and south of Eglinton Avenue West
- The 32 and 332 Eglinton West buses will continue to provide service to-and-from Eglinton West Station, while the closure is in place
- Signage will be in place directing TTC riders
