Traffic Restriction at Eglinton Avenue East and Jonesville Crescent North Side 

What Work is Taking Place? 

As part of continued utility relocations, road widening and road reconstruction, access to Jonesville Crescent on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East will be closed starting as early as Monday, November 11, 2019. This traffic configuration (depicted below) will be in place for up to six (6) weeks.

All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East.


Timing 

  • Work will begin as early as November 11, 2019 and continue for up to six (6) weeks. 
  • Work may occur from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion. Work may be rescheduled or extended due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Road widening activities include: utility relocation, saw cutting, concrete removals, excavation, road reconstruction, curb reconstruction, asphalting, street light installations and sidewalk construction.
