Traffic Light Pole Installations at Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive (Friday, August 5, 2022)

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as, Friday, August 5, 2022, crews at Laird Station will be performing permanent traffic light pole installations on the northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest corners of Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive. To facilitate this work, short term periodic lane reduction will be required on Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Temporary sidewalk closures may be required on Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive. Pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while traffic lights are being activated. This project is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) week.

What to Expect

Expect delays while travelling through the area. Noise from construction activities, including concrete breaking and pouring, can be expected.  Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be preset while traffic lights are being activated. Access to all properties will be maintained.  

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Friday, August 5, 2022, for approximately one (1) week.
• This work is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Short term periodic lane reductions will be required on Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive.
• One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
