What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Friday August 27, 2021, the tower crane at Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance will be dismantled and removed. A mobile crane will be placed at the Main Entrance site to lift out the tower crane in pieces. This work is expected to take place between 4:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To allow space for the mobile crane, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place. During the lift, for safety purposes, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, for approximately two (2) hours. What to Expect
Noise from construction activity including trucks, material loading, and crane movements can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Friday August 27, 2021 between 4:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while this work takes place
- Eglinton Avenue West will be further reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, for approximately two (2) hours
- Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present for the duration of this work
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- Intermittent pedestrian detouring may be required while this work will take place
- Access to businesses will be maintained at all times
