Traffic Configuration

 

 

As early as Tuesday, August 24, 2021, crews at Laird Station will begin to dismantle and remove the tower crane located at the Secondary Entrance site.  Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only at the Secondary Entrance, while this work takes place. For safety purposes, a portion of the parking lot at the RioCan Leaside Centre (845 Eglinton Avenue East) will be temporarily restricted during the crane removal. This work is expected to start at as early as 5:00 a.m. and will take approximately (24) hours to complete. 

 

What to Expect

Noise from crane movements, loading, and truck activity can be expected. Parking will be temporarily restricted at the RioCan Leaside Centre. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place. 

 

Hours of Work

  • As early as Monday, August 24, 2021, at approximately 5:00 a.m. 
  • This work is expected to take approximately 24-hours to complete.  
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

 

Traffic Details

  • Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only at the Secondary Entrance. 
  • Parking will be temporarily restricted at the RioCan Leaside Centre. 

 

Pedestrians Details

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.

 

Transit Information

  • No changes to TTC routes are expected, as a result of this work.
