Structural Steel Deliveries at Oakwood Station May 21 & 25, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday May 21 and Tuesday May 25, 2021, structural steel deliveries will take place at the Main Entrance of Oakwood Station. To perform this work safely, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one westbound lane during the delivery. This work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and may take between thirty (30) minutes to three (3) hours to complete.

What to Expect

A crane will be used to lift structural steel into Oakwood Station's Main Entrance site. Noise from construction activities, including truck staging and material loading, can be expected.  Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK 

  • Friday May 21 and Tuesday May 25, 2021
  • The deliveries will begin as early as 6:00 a.m.
  • This work may take between thirty (30) minutes and three (3) hours to complete
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS 

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one westbound lane during the deliveries
  • Times Road will remain closed during this work
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

  • No changes to pedestrian routes are expected during this work
