What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be performing sidewalk and curb restoration on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East between Cranborne Ave and Victoria Park Ave. Work is expected to begin as early as Monday, April 27, 2020 for a period of three (3) weeks.

Hours of Work
- Work will begin as early as Monday, April 27, 2020 for a period of three (3) weeks.
- Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Crews will be completing final sidewalk and curb restoration works.
- Excavators, bobcats, dump trucks, compactors, hand tools and concrete pumps and trucks will be utilized.
- Noise and lighting from construction equipment and vehicles can be expected.
Traffic Details
- Closure of the eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Ave E between Cranborne Ave and Victoria Park Ave.
- Northbound, southbound and westbound left turns will be prohibited.
- The eastbound left turn lane and a shared through and right turn lane will be available.
- A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained during this work.
- Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Pedestrian Details
- Pedestrians will be rerouted north of the work zone on the south side of Eglinton Ave E between Cranborne Ave and Victoria Park Ave.
TTC Details
- There will be no changes to the current TTC bus stops.
- Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
