WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

As utility installations progress along Eglinton Avenue East between Bermondsey Road and Victoria Park Avenue, four (4) new traffic stages will be implemented at Jonesville Crescent to accommodate the work zones (depicted below). Traffic will shift to the first stage as early as Monday, March 4th, 2019. Each stage will last approximately one (1) week.

 TIMING

  • The first stage is expected to begin as early as March 4, 2019. Each stage will last approximately one (1) week.
  • Work is expected to occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • Lane closures are required to safely conduct the work.
  • There will be no access to Eglinton Avenue east south bound on Jonesville Crescent for stage 2 of the traffic configuration.  Advanced signage will be installed prior to and during the closure.
  • A minimum of one through lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
  • Road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone. Please take care when travelling near work sites.

PEDESTRIAN AND TTC IMPACTS

  • Pedestrian routes and TTC stop locations will remain unchanged.
