Laneway Closure for Main Entrance Construction at Oakwood Station

What Work is Taking Place?

From Monday February 14 – Friday February 18, 2022, crews at Oakwood Station will work within the laneway north of the Main Entrance site to facilitate wet utility works. The laneway will be closed to through-traffic to facilitate these activities safely.

This work is expected to take place between 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Access to the east portion of the laneway will be maintained via Eglinton Avenue West. For more information, please review the complete notice.

What to Expect

No through access for vehicles while the laneway closure is in effect. Use of construction equipment, such as a excavator and jackhammer, will be required to complete this work. Noise from construction activities - including hammering, concrete breaking and material loading - can be expected. The laneway will reopen after each day of work. Expect delays while travelling through the laneway.

HOURS OF WORK

• Monday February 14 – Friday February 18, 2022; between 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• The laneway north of Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance site will be closed to through-traffic.
• All work zones on Eglinton Avenue West and Times Road will remain in place. 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• All pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same.
• Short-term pedestrian rerouting through the laneway may be in effect. 

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
