Equipment Removals at Oakwood Station December 6, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday December 9, 2021, crews at Oakwood Station will begin to remove the equipment located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate the removals safely, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue while this work takes place. The removals are expected to take place between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) day.

What to Expect

Use of a crane and/or lift to remove the equipment from the site will be required. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Thursday December 9, 2021 for approximately one (1) day
  • Construction activities will take place between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Times Road and Oakwood Avenue
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
