What Work is Taking Place?
As early as, Monday, July 18, 2022, crews will be moving along Eglinton Avenue East to perform restoration works and repairs on the north and south sidewalk between the DVP and Swift Drive. To facilitate this work, there will be periodic sidewalk closures on the north and south sidewalk (at alternating times) along Eglinton Avenue East between DVP and Swift Drive. Pedestrians will be safely rerouted around the work zone. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East may be periodically reduced between the DVP and Swift Drive. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. This works is expected to take place on Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities, including concrete breaking and pouring, can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the area. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. The sidewalk will reopen upon completion of the work.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday, July 18, 2022, for approximately two (2) weeks.
- This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Eastbound and westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East may be periodically reduced between the DVP and Swift Drive.
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk on the north and south side of Eglinton Avenue East will be periodically closed between the DVP and Swift Drive.
- Pedestrian will be safely rerouted around the work zone.
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
