What Work is Taking Place?

As part of continued support of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will conducting a concrete pour of the guideway in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East between Eglinton Square and Pharmacy Avenue.

Crews will be delivering and pouring cement along Eglinton Avenue East between Eglinton Square and Pharmacy Avenue as early as Friday, March 1, 2019 from approximately 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. To facilitate this delivery, concrete trucks will be arriving to the site from the east and west of Eglinton Avenue East.

Hours of Work

  • Work is expected to start as early as Friday, March 1, 2019 from 7:30 am until 7:00 pm.  
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. 

What to Expect

  • Heavy truck entering and exiting the work zone (approximately every three to four (3-4) minutes).
  • Trucks will be entering and leaving site at:
    • At the west of Eglinton Avenue East and will use the left lane to enter the stage
    • At the east of Eglinton Avenue East and will use the left lane to enter the stage
  • Flagmen will be available to direct traffic and pedestrian.
  • A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained during this work.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents and businesses can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
  •  As always, please take care when travelling near work.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • All open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.
