Concrete Pour at Oakwood Station May 17, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, May 17, 2021, crews will perform a concrete pour within the work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West at Oakwood Avenue. The concrete will form one of the exterior walls of Oakwood Station’s Main Entrance.

To facilitate this work safely, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while the pour takes place. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and take approximately twelve (12) hours to complete.

What to Expect

Concrete trucks will stage within the work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West. Noise from construction activity can be expected; 4+ concrete trucks are expected per hour. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday May 17, 2021
  • The pour will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and take approximately twelve (12) hours to complete
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction while the pour takes place
  • Times Road will remain closed during the pour
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • All pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same
