Closure on Rosemount Drive North of Eglinton Avenue East - Extended to late December 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the ongoing works to replace the existing culvert at Massey Creek, the current traffic configuration at Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East will be extended to late December 2020. Rosemount Drive will remain closed north of Eglinton Avenue East and north-south through-traffic will be prohibited for the duration of the work.

What to Expect

Crews will continue wet utility works and perform connections between storm sewer pipes and the new culvert. Once complete, the old culvert will be filled followed by the construction of the west wing-wall of the new culvert. The extension will allow these activities to be carried out safely.

HOURS OF WORK

• Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

• Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

• Rosemount Drive north of Eglinton Ave E will remain closed. 

• Westbound right turns onto Rosemount Drive will remain prohibited.

• Southbound traffic on Rosemount Drive will be diverted north of Eglinton Avenue East.

• Both westbound and eastbound left turns onto Rosemount Drive will be prohibited.

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

• The northwest corner of Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East will remain closed, pedestrians will be rerouted to the south sidewalk.

TTC IMPACTS

• All temporary TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations. 

OTHER IMPACTS

• Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected.
