January 13, 2020
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will begin installing new and permanent traffic signal infrastructure at the Brentcliffe Road and Eglinton Avenue East intersection as early as Monday, January 13, 2020. The construction activities will require cycling lane closures to facilitate works at the corners and crossing the intersection (depicted below). Traffic configurations (depicted below) will be in place for 1-3 days each and will be scheduled to suit construction progress.
Hours of Work
- Beginning as early as January 13, 2020 for approximately three (3) weeks.
- Daily lane closures may occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., seven (7) days a week.
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion. Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Site lighting and noise from construction activities can be expected.
- Lane closures are required to safely conduct the work.
- Construction activities include:

- Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone. As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- Cycling temporary closures of curbside or centre lane at the intersection.
- A minimum of one through lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
