Re-issue: Telecommunication Utilities Relocation: Birchmount Road to Treverton Drive
What Work is Taking Place?
• Crews will begin relocation of existing telecommunication lines along Eglinton Avenue East, between Birchmount Road and Treverton Drive.
• Telecommunication lines within utility chambers as well within pre-existing duct banks will be relocated in preparation for station construction.
• All work conducted during this phase will occur within the public boulevards.

Hydro Utility Relocation for the Eastern End of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Line
Crews will relocate and upgrade existing overhead hydro utilities between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Station in preparation for construction of the surface section dedicated transit lanes (guideway), the Kennedy Portal, and the Kennedy LRT Station. Existing overhead and underground hydro lines will be relocated from the north side of Eglinton Avenue East to the south side of Eglinton Avenue East.

Preparatory Road Works on Eglinton Avenue East for Surface Stops
The surface section of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT will run down the centre of Eglinton Avenue East in dedicated transit lanes at street level. To prepare for the construction of the surface section, crews are working to get the roadway ready.
Setting up the construction work zones in the roadway will require changes to how car and truck, bus, and pedestrian traffic flows along Eglinton Avenue East and the associated intersections where future stops will be located. Lire la suite »
