Update: Geotechnical Equipment Installations and Monitoring on Thursfield Crescent for the Brentcliffe Portal and Surface Stops
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the ongoing construction works for the future Brentcliffe Portal and Surface Stops, above ground and in-ground monitoring points will be installed on the City Right-of-Way, which may include the roadway, sidewalks and/or driveways on Thursfield Crescent.
Once installed, the instruments will remain at these locations for the length of the project. Monitoring allows crews to evaluate the impact of construction works. Lire la suite »

What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will relocate an existing sanitary sewer line on Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street to support the upgrade of existing infrastructure at the future Brentcliffe Portal and Sunnybrook Park Stop.
To minimize traffic disruption for the community, transit users and local businesses, this work is being done overnight. Paid Duty Police Officers will maintain safe traffic flow. Lire la suite »
Early Morning Concrete Pour at Brentcliffe Portal
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be pouring the concrete foundation for the Brentcliffe Portal. Work will be conducted within the existing work zone located on Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Leslie Street. Due to the large size of these concrete pours, work will start at 5:00 a.m. in order to complete the pour during daytime hours, reducing impact to traffic in the area. Lire la suite »

Tunnel Backfilling Brentcliffe Road to Laird Drive
What Work is Taking Place?
To support the ongoing mining works at the future Laird Station, a layer of backfill (granular material) will be added to the base of the existing tunnel from the Brentcliffe Portal to Laird Drive.
Backfill material will be stockpiled and then be pushed in to the tunnel at Brentcliffe Portal and inside the tunnels towards Laird Drive. Compaction of the material will occur inside of the tunnels. Lire la suite »
