Three Hour Parking – Tarlton Road Eglinton Avenue West to College View Avenue

What:  Maximum 3 hour parking will be allowed on Tarlton Road for the duration of this phase of construction on Eglinton Avenue.

Why:  On-street parking will not be available within the vicinity of construction along Eglinton Avenue between Bathurst Street and Avenue Road. To alleviate the loss of parking on Eglinton Avenue during construction, the City of Toronto, in collaboration with Metrolinx, will be adjusting the parking restrictions in certain sections to accommodate parking for the neighbourhood and businesses.     Lire la suite »

Parking in the vicinity of Bathurst, Chaplin and Avenue during Construction

Transforming transit across the middle of Toronto is a significant undertaking and requires a lot of coordination. Construction is visible along the Eglinton corridor and on many side streets while we work to build this important transit project. Avenue Station Headwall Construction for Twin Tunnels Stage 2 – West Headwalls

What we are building?

What: In this phase of construction, crews will be building the west headwalls for the future Avenue Station.  Headwalls are underground support walls located at the east and west ends of the station location. Following the site preparation, crews will be installing these underground station headwalls in advance of the arrival of the tunnel boring machines to the area.  Work on the east headwalls began in January and is still ongoing. What we are building?

Retour sur l’année 2014

Le projet Eglinton Crosstown est une ligne de transport léger sur rail (TLR) de 19 kilomètres qui longera Eglinton Avenue au cœur de Toronto et comprendra un tunnel souterrain de 10 kilomètres dans sa section centrale. Lorsqu’elle sera terminée, la ligne reliera Mount Dennis, à l’ouest, à Kennedy Road, à l’est, et offrira un service jusqu’à 60 % plus rapide que le service d’autobus actuel.  Lire la suite »

Long-term Closure of Highbourne Road at Eglinton Avenue West

What we are building

What: Construction of the headwalls for the future Avenue station requires a grout plant to be established nearby to pump a form of concrete, otherwise known as “grout”, to the station headwall location. In order to minimize road occupancy on Eglinton Avenue West this grout plant will be located within a section on Highbourne Road, south of Eglinton.
